About Richard Flores IV
Richard Flores IV was raised from birth in Vacaville, California. He went to school in the Vacaville Unified School District. He graduated from Will C. Wood High School in 1999. In 2001 he met his future wife and Richard and Amy were married in July 2004. They have three handsome sons, ages six, five and three. Richard and his family live in Southeast Vacaville.
Richard went to work in the private security sector almost right away. His talents as a leader were quickly recognized when he was made a supervisor in his first few months of work. Since that time Richard has worked in positions of Management for retail malls. He has worked for the Department of Defense providing security at Travis Air Force Base. In 2008, Richard opened his own security company. In early 2010 that company was claimed by the economy and it closed. Richard currently works at PG&E as a Security Control Operator.
Richard is also a writer. He has had several short fiction stories published in recent years and has a novel set for publication in September 2012. He also encourages his son to write, and they have published a Children's Picture book together. In May 2012, Richard started in the business of publishing with the speculative fiction magazine, Plasma Frequency.
Richard has always had a passion for community service. Even before graduating from High School, Richard volunteered with the Vacaville Police Department. As a business owner, Richard donated overnight security to the Great Wonders Park rebuild in 2008. He currently serves on the Vacaville Youth Soccer League Board of Directors as the 1st Vice President. Putting in time to serve his community remains an important part of who he is.
In 2010, Richard wanted to expand his ability to serve others and ran for Vacaville City Council. He enjoyed the process and all the people he met. His passion to serve the City of Vacaville and it's residents has not diminished.
